cbm’s Emergency Response Team has been distributing food and survival supplies baskets in the center of Concepcion, Paney Island, in the last few days.
These first distributions reached 2,659 vulnerable households including nearly 900 families of persons with disabilities. Other vulnerable households we reached are women-headed households, elderly and underprivileged people. In the Philippines, there are six persons average per household, so in total almost 16,000 persons could be reached in the first days of distribution.
If you have a look at the man’s joyful and grateful smile just having received urgently needed emergency relief items, you can see the huge impact cbm supporters have on people’s life in the aftermath of typhoon Haiyan.
