Database and ICT Administrator
Sadie moved to Auckland from Iran in 2015. After completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Computer Science at AUT, Sadie worked voluntarily for Heart Kids, providing database assistance, before moving to cbm NZ in 2017.
My passion for cbmMost of my day is spent in front of the screen working with databases and computers. Even though I am “desk-based’, I am so proud to work for cbm NZ. I have a real sense of happiness contributing to make a positive impact in the world. I am definitely way more fulfilled at cbm NZ than I have been in any of my other roles.
My experiences that affirm this belief:Preparing for my job interview I found that Ernst Christoffel, the founder of CBM, went to my country of birth to help the vision impaired and people living with disabilities. I feel that I continue this mission through working at cbm NZ. The knowledge that I’ve helped someone who lives in a developing country and that I am making a difference in the world is highly rewarding for me and I feel a warm glow every day.
