Andrew joined the Board in 2019 and is also a member of the International Programmes Committee and the Personnel and Compensation Committee.
Andrew was born in England and came to New Zealand in 1983. He has had a varied career in hospital surgery, church pastoral work, private practice counselling, education counselling and tertiary education administration. Before retiring at the end of 2017, he was the Dean/CEO of Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in Tauranga.
Andrew is passionate about Christian mission as service, and has contributed over many years to NGOs in both Cambodia and Myanmar. He is committed to thinking strategically and is mindful of the importance of ethical practice, both in operational matters and governance.
Andrew’s wife of 41 years, Ruth, died in 2018. Andrew has one daughter, and two sons, one of whom is married with two boys.
