CEO

Stephen is a proud New Zealander who grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Rotorua. Prior to joining cbm he has held senior roles at World Vision, Manukau Institute of Technology and the Manukau City Council. Stephen is a Board Member for the Council for International Development (CID) which represents New Zealand aid and development organisations.

My passion for cbm:

My move to cbm is motivated by a desire to simply try and make a difference. I feel blessed to have grown up in New Zealand and for all the opportunities that my wife, children and I have had. I am humbled and excited to work for an international organisation that strives every day to help persons with disabilities living in poverty.

My experiences that affirm this belief:

I am motivated and inspired by the generosity of people. New Zealanders are among the most generous people in the world with many donating to charities such as cbm, volunteering their time to help those in need or helping a stranger if the opportunity arose. I am reminded of the generosity of people every day at cbm.
